We began our journey with smooth haired miniature dachshunds in April 2019 when I was convinced to  buy our first little girl Nellie.  We researched the breed extensively and became aware of the health issues, IVDD and Cord 1 PRA  and of all the traits, the stubborn streak and in contrast the fun loving character that makes us love the breed so much.

 

These little legged, long bundles of fun are worth the training, worth the investment of time and money and for all of this you will be rewarded daily with oodles of love and affection. Nellie is PRA tested and is hereditary clear and she has been tested for the Merle Locus Gene and does not carry the merle gene.
